Join ESC at the Family First Community Center in Renton for our drop-in science time. Themes and activities change each week with an emphasis on hands-on science stations! Programs available for families, teens, and toddlers.

Renton Sustainability Fair

Join ESC at the Renton Neighborhoods Sustainability Fair at the Renton Community Center. Play with our hands-on science stations, celebrate Earth Day, learn more about sustainability options in the City of Renton, and more! Live music, games, and local food trucks will round out the fun!

Hilltop Park Restoration
Come celebrate Earth Day with some work outdoors at Hilltop Park in Burien! This event is led by youth interns from Innovation High School along with DirtCorps and Green Burien Partnership. We will be doing restoration work, enjoying food together, and more. We will have tools, materials, and food for all!

Join ESC at the Renton Library for various science events. Programs include drop-in science time, preschool story time, and adult presentations. This spring focuses on Earth Day and wildlife science!

Ages 50+
Select Tuesdays this spring
Join ESC and the Renton Senior Activity Center for environmental education programs specifically for people ages 50+. These programs are designed to connect our community to our shared watershed through presentations, workshops, and field trips. These programs are generously funded by the King County Wastewater Treatment Division.

Owl Prowl
May 31: 7:30-9:00 PM
Take a guided nighttime walk to learn the basics of owl adaptations and how to look for these elusive animals! Learn more about their unique adaptations by participating in an owl pellet dissection before exploring the birds and plants of the park.

Join ESC naturalists at Liberty Park, in Renton, for hands-on science stations and to check out one of our FREE Family Nature Kits! Designed to give explorers of all ages and abilities a more facilitated way to explore outdoors and downtown Renton. This program is funded by the generous support of King County Wastewater Treatment Division.
